Faceless reels for camera-shy agents

Short vertical video gets more reach than still posts on most platforms, but plenty of good agents hate being on camera. You don't need to be. These formats rely on footage, text and a strong first line.

Nine formats that work

  1. Listing walk-through: slow, steady clips room by room, with one caption per room.
  2. Market minute: one big number on screen over neighborhood footage.
  3. Seller mistake: text hook ("the $300 fix buyers notice first") over before and after shots.
  4. Buyer myth: myth on screen, then the truth, then "ask your lender about…".
  5. Neighborhood walk: a 20-second stroll past the park, coffee shop and school.
  6. Hands-only process: keys, documents, a coffee cup: "what happens the week before closing".
  7. Screen recording: scroll through a listing or a calculator while the caption explains.
  8. Day-in-the-life B-roll: car, signs, lockbox, open house set-up, with on-screen text.
  9. Question of the week: a real client question as the hook, the answer in three lines.

How to make one in ten minutes

  1. Write the hook first. If the first line doesn't make you curious, change it.
  2. Pick 4 to 6 clips of 2 to 3 seconds each. Steady, slow movement looks most professional.
  3. Put captions on screen, inside the middle of the frame so app buttons don't cover them.
  4. End with one clear action: "comment GUIDE and I'll send it" or "save this for later".
  5. Add your brokerage details where your rules require them.

Keep it honest

Only show homes you have permission to market, label stock or sample footage, and never imply results you can't back up.
