What to post when the market is slow

When listings sit longer and buyers hesitate, "just listed" posts stop working. People still want information; they're just slower to act. A quiet market is the best time to become the agent everyone in your area trusts.

1. The honest market minute

One number, what it means, what to do about it. "Homes here took 34 days to sell last month, up from 22. If you're selling, price for week one." Use your own MLS or portal data and say where it comes from.

2. "What would you do?" scenarios

Describe a real-world choice: rent or buy, renovate or sell as-is, wait for rates or move now. Ask people to vote. Conversations in comments help your reach on most platforms.

3. The seller fix list

Small, specific improvements that help a home stand out when buyers have choices: paint, lighting, curb appeal, decluttering. Before and after photos work best.

4. Buyer myth-busters

"You need 20% down" or "you need perfect credit". Correct common myths and suggest people talk to a lender. Avoid giving lending advice yourself.

5. Local guides

Coffee shops, parks, schools' open days, new businesses. Local content is shared by people who aren't moving, which keeps you visible for when they or their friends do.

6. Behind the scenes of a sale

Show the work buyers and sellers don't see: the inspection negotiation, the survey, the chain of buyers and sellers (UK), the closing or completion day. It explains your value without a sales pitch.

7. Client stories (with permission)

A short story about how a real client solved a problem. Always get written permission, and never invent testimonials.

A simple weekly mix

  • Monday: market minute
  • Wednesday: seller or buyer tip
  • Friday: local guide or behind-the-scenes
  • Weekend: a scenario post or client story

Every plan delivers all seven types every month, written for your city. Try a free week.
